 Who is Karen McCreadie Minimize

Karen McCreadie

Writer

Karen McCreadie is a prolific and flexible writer capable of taking intellectual and often complex information and making it accessible and understandable to a wider audience. Thus increasing the market viability of the end product.

As a ghost writer Karen is able to adapt to the style of the author and walk in their shoes so that it is the author’s personality that is reflected in the work rather than her own. Her first book was SalesDogs by Blair Singer. SalesDogs was originally to be self-published, however after working with Karen via email from the US the manuscript was published by Time Warner and is part of Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad’s Advisors” series.

“A very special acknowledgment to the writing talents of Karen McCreadie from “Aussieland”, who was able to make SalesDogs readable and understandable and who was finally able to interpret what I have been trying to say for years.”~ Blair Singer

Her business background and marketing ability has created a powerful combination and allows her to write in a broad range of non-fiction areas. Karen’s most recent book, published by John Wiley& Sons is Natural Born Success Discover the Instinctive Drives that make you tick! by Paul Burgess.

"I needed a special person to help me write this book and I found that person in Karen McCreadie. I want everyone to know that Karen is a genius! Thank you, Karen, for your passion and your outstanding skill. Thank you also for working so patiently with me, meeting every deadline and making it so much fun." ~ Paul Burgess

Recent projects include modern interpretations of three classics, The Art of War, Think and Grow Rich and Richest Man in Babylon. Published in 2008 these books will be the first to have her name on the front not tucked away in "Acknowledgements".

Karen can work with you whether you have a rough manuscript or just a good idea. She can simply sit with you, discuss your idea and record those conversations and is then able to extract a book from those discussions. Her skill is in finding a structure and creative concept that may not be immediately apparent, and applying that to the creation of the finished book. From this framework she is able to sculpt the information into a marketable, enjoyable and “easy to read” product that both parties can be proud of. Karen also has existing relationships with a major publisher and can, if required act as an agent for your book.

On a personal note Karen recently returned home to live in Scotland after 18 years. After graduating she lived and worked in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for several years and then emigrated to Sydney, Australia where she lived between 1997 and 2007. After returning home for the annual trip to see her family she ironically met her now husband - in the town she was always so desperate to leave! As T.S. Eliot says, "And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." She still maintains close ties with Australia both personally and professionally.

According to Karen the hardest things she's ever done is a) 6 weeks of lambing sheep on the family farm b) climbing Kilimanjaro on the inaugural expedition of Girls on Top and c) leaving her friends to come back to Scotland.
