What Would the World be Like?
What would the world be like if unspoken words were spoken?
If all the truth was not disguised in semantics and deceit
What would the world be like if we repaired all that was broken?
Instead of taking back our goods with our freshly found receipt.

A tidal wave of truth
A barrage of emotion,
Spilling in the streets, running down her cheeks
What would the world be like?

What would the world be like if we said when we were hurting
Spoke honestly of our feelings and blew away our fears
What would the world be like if rejection didn’t brand us - searing in the pain?
Instead we laugh a little with a friend, get up and start again.

A tidal wave of truth
A barrage of emotion
If we dared to play the music our heart so longed to sing
What would the world be like?

What would the world be like with compassion and forgiveness?
Where past wounds were given air to breath and sun to heal the scars
What would the world be like if we loved without condition?
Lighting up our darkness by the brilliance of the stars

A tidal wave of truth
A barrage of emotion
Do you hear the whisper of my soul or are your deafened to its promise
What would the world be like?

What would the world be like if we could express ourselves completely?
See understanding in his pain; find peace and hope in summer rain.
What would the world be like if we lived the way we dreamed of?
Openly, honestly, loudly and brightly.

A tidal wave of truth
A barrage of emotion
Too scared to play the game, too scared to show our hand
Too scared to loose our pair of jacks – to risk it all and take a stand…
What would the world be like?

What would the world be like if we loved without comparison, rules or limitation?
Where reality surpasses fantasy - untouched by expectation
What would the world be like if we were free to be ourselves?
No more fairy-tale illusion to keep us “off the shelf”.

A tidal wave of truth
A barrage of emotion
To stand inside the fire and feel the heat of confrontation
To stand up for what we believe in and feel strength from that conviction.
What would the world be like?

What would my world be like if I simply had the courage
To be all the things I’ve said above and a million things besides
To leap into the darkness and know that I will fly…
What would my world be like?
I guess I’ll have to try…
